What is an Xbox?
Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft and was developed in collaboration with IBM ATI and SiS. The integrated Xbox Live service allows players access to compete online and download content as arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV programs and movies. Xbox 360 is the successor to the Xbox and competes with Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.
Xbox 360 was published on MTV, 12 May 2005, with a detailed presentation and game details were later that month presented at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The console was sold out soon after it was launched in all regions except Japan, and the 25th of April 2008, 19 million units were sold across the world. Xbox 360 comes in two different versions: “Arcade console and the Elite console.” Each of them has their own selection of included accessories.
Xbox features
Xbox 360 has many built-in functions, many of these works with Microsoft’s vision for console online features for Xbox Live. Xbox Dashboard allows the user to browse the various panels as Xbox Live, music, console settings, the console’s hard drive and / or other peripherals.
Through the Live feature is the opportunity to join a service, so you can see your friends, whether they are connected, what game they started and what ranking they have.
The machine can connect to the Internet, so you can download updates to the console and its games, as well as demo versions of new games.
